This week the Blackwood Football Club comes together to celebrate National Reconciliation Week (NRW) which has been held across Australia every year between May 27-June 3 since 1996.
This is an opportunity for all Australians to learn more about First Nations cultures and histories, to share that knowledge and help us grow. The theme in 2019 is Grounded in Truth. Walk Together with Courage, which promotes the central role of truth-telling in fostering positive race relations. Australia’s past is reflected in the present and will continue to play out in the future unless we heal historical wounds.
