In the previous match up between the sides in Round 7, the Woods kicked one goal 10 behinds for the match to eventually go down to the Magpies by 74 points at Hahndorf Oval. Phil Hopton was the solitary goal scorer whilst Nick Homburg was named best player for the Woods.
