The Blackwood Football Club would like to congratulate Scarlett Griffiths who is set to make her league debut for West Adelaide against Woodville-West Torrens at City Mazda Stadium this Friday afternoon. Scarlett becomes the fourth player from the 2018 Under 16 Blackwood Girls premiership side to debut for West Adelaide during Season 2019.
The lightning fast forward/midfielder is in her third season of football having come to the Woods after seeing a come-and-try sign on the side of Shepherds Hill Road in 2017. Griffiths has already achieved so much in football in this short period of time including winning the Under 14s best and fairest in 2017, being apart of Under 14 Girls premiership (including being named as the as best player on ground), playing for South Australia in the Under 15 side during 2018, making the Port Adelaide Under 16 Academy team and winning her second premiership in the Blackwood Under 16 Girls team.
We wish Scarlett all the best for her debut and look forward hopefully to watching her long runs into the forward lines for the Bloods!
