Last Friday evening the Blackwood Football Club had the official opening of the new Unisex Change Room facility at U-Install-It Kitchens Oval. The change rooms facilities were officially opened in front of over 250 players, supporters, sponsors, members and dignitaries.
The Unisex change room facilities at the Blackwood Oval complies with the AFL Unisex Design Guide and encourages greater participation of females, providing changing facilities appropriate for both male and female sport as well as participants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
The Blackwood Football Club is set to enjoy the benefits of this first-class facility, after securing funding from the Federal Government, Mitcham Council, BFC and SANFL to build this high-specification modular building in Blackwood.
