The Senior, Junior and Mini Colts teams for the 2020 Division One Hills Football League Grand Final have been selected. All three Woods colts sides will feature in the Grand Final playing for the chance to win the ultimate prize, the 2020 Premiership. The matches will be held at Echunga Oval with all games to be live streamed via the HillsFooty.com website or Hills Football League Facebook page.
In the Senior Colts, they have made two changes to the side which won the second semi-final against Nairne Bremer with star on-baller Sam Matters and forward Dylan Smith coming into the selected side. The side comes up against Mt Lofty for the second time in this finals campaign. The last time the sides met in the Qualifying Final, the Woods trailed by eight points at the main break. After a rev up from coach Jacob Broad, the side produced a stunning second half kicking nine goals to one to run out 43 point winners. Jaxin Faehrmann was the star up forward in that match booting four goals whilst Ben Wender was named best player.
In the Junior Colts, coach Adam Torode has named a 25 player squad for the match against the Mt Barker Football Club with Oliver Britten-Jones, Caleb McCormick and Clayton Town coming into the selected side which defeated Nairne Bremer in last weekend’s Preliminary Final. For the Woods, they will be looking to turn around the result from the last time the sides met in the Second-Semi Final with the Woods going down by 59 points. In that match Jay Burton kicked two majors with Callum Finlayson being named best player.
In the Mini Colts, they have named an un-changed 24 player squad from the successful Second-Semi Final. For the young Woods side coached by Wes Scott, a victory over Uraidla Districts will see the team record an undefeated premiership season. In their only meeting of the 2020 season, the Woods defeated the Demons by 38 points at Uraidla Oval with Fraser Grigg kicking two majors and Jackson Moody being named best player.

Following the completion of the matches, players and their teams are invited to attend the post match celebrations at the Blackwood Football Club with the club open from 1.00pm.
