Callum Finlayson has been awarded the 2021 Hills Football League Division One Junior Colts Mail Medal at last Monday night’s medal count.

Starting the season in red-hot form, Finlayson picked up a best on ground in the opening round of the season against Hahndorf where the side won by 41 points. Continuing his fast start to the season, Finlayson polled 17 votes in the opening eight rounds including a further three best on grounds performances against Mt Lofty in Round 4, Uraidla Districts in Round 5 and Lobethal in Round 7. In the second half of the season, Finlayson continued to poll well receiving best on grounds in Round 10 against Hahndorf and Round 13 against Birdwood to round out the season on 25 votes, two votes ahead of second place.

In the Senior Colts, Sam Matters finished in equal eighth position polling 13 votes including best on grounds in three matches (Round 4, Round 7 and Round 18) while in the Mini Colts, young gun Jackson Moody polled 23 votes to finish in second position, two votes behind the winner. This included seven best-on-ground performances, the most of any player in the mini colts competition.
