The Blackwood Football Club welcomes four players to the squad for its clash against the Mt Lofty Devils this Saturday in Round 13 of the Police Credit Union Hills Football League.

Named in the selected squad to face the Devils are Ryan Dijksman, Vice Captain Rhys Sporn, Daniel Bennetts and Jordon Cock. For Dijksman he returns having missed the previous two matches whilst Sporn pull on the red and green for the first match since Round 4 (ironically also against Mt Lofty).

Speaking post selection coach Scott Prebble said it was exciting to welcome back those four players. “We’ve had a good rest over the Country Championships weekend. We must now look to build our form across the remaining rounds of the season.”

The Wood face the Devils at home looking to secure their eighth win of the season. To date in 2021 the Woods rank fourth in attack (68.2 PFpg) and fourth in defence (70.7 PApg) whilst the Devils sit in sixth seventh position having won five matches to date including three victories in the past four matches played. They’ve got the tenth ranked attack (55.5 PFpg) and eight ranked defence (77.1 PApg).

In the B Grade Daniel Lowe has named a squad with seven changes from the previous side which defeated Nairne. Coming into the squad is Bailey Badcoe, Lachlan Bahnisch, Jonathan Grimes, Liam McCarthy, Nik Gacic, Denam Moore and River Moore. The side will be looking to turn around the result from Round 4 where the Devils secured a seven point victory.

In the C Grade, they have named a 25 player squad to face the CBCOC at Park 15 on Saturday morning. Buoyed by a strong victory against Modbury last weekend, the side welcomes Josh Bergin, Ben Kernich, Callan Marks, Taylor Moore, Zac Murar, Dylan Scarborough, Dylan Silvy, Alex Strauss, Tom Walden and Nick Work and will be looking to secure their ninth victory of the season.
