Blackwood has made one change to its team to face the Uraidla Districts Demons tomorrow afternoon in Round 5 of the Police Credit Union Hills Football League at Blackwood Oval.

Coach Scott Prebble and his coaching group have named Phil Hopton to return to side having returned from injury through the B Grade in Round 4.

“We have a fairly settled side for the weekend only making one change which is good to have some consistency. We have trained hard during week and will be looking to play a consistent four quarters of football.”

The Woods will be looking to secure their fourth victory on the trot having defeated Mt Barker, Nairne Bremer and Mt Lofty in the previous three outings. A win against the Demons will see the Woods have a 4-and-1 record across the opening five rounds, a record which has only occurred once in the past nine seasons (2017 saw the Woods win four matches in the opening five rounds).

In the B Grade, Daniel Lowe has made four changes to the side with Matt Brown, Jonathan Grimes, Henry Spurr and Zac Zevenboom coming into the selected squad. The match marks the first game of the season for Matt Brown and Zac Zevenboom with Brown making his debut for the Woods having joined the club in the pre-season.

The C Grade has named a strong squad of 25 players with Chris Francis, Patrick Mackay, Liam Markham, Adrian Ractliffe, Dylan Scarborough, Liam Wright and Nick Work coming into the side which will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s loss to Modbury.
