The Blackwood Football Club has made two changes to the side for tomorrow’s Preliminary final clash against Mt Barker naming Josh Bergin and Liam Markham in the selected squad.
Facing Mt Barker for the fourth time in 2021 and the 28th time since the start of 2010, the Woods will be looking to book their place in the Grand Final for the first time since 2017 with a victory.
Speaking post selection coach Daniel Lowe said the side was looking forward to the challenge this weekend. “There is a massive reward at the end of the match for the side who can secure the victory. We are confident we can be that side.”
In other team news, Jacob Broad has named an extended squad to face Onkaparinga Valley on Saturday morning. The side will be looking to secure the victory and play off in the last day in September for the fourth time in five seasons.
In the Junior Colts, Luke Warburton has named an unchanged squad to play Mt Barker. The side will be looking to hand the Roos their third defeat of the season and lock in a grand final berth for the fourth time in the last five years and seventh time in the last ten years.
