The Blackwood Football Club Women’s side suffered their second successive loss going down by 21 points to the Salisbury Magpies in Round 9 of the Cinderella Cleaning Division 2 Adelaide Football League.

Making the trip out to Salisbury, the side trailed by four points at the first break. Battling hard over the next two quarters the Woods were held to only one point whilst the Mapgies kicked three goals. Digging deep in the final quarter the Woods managed to have four shots on goal to two but could only managed 1 goal and three behinds as they trailed by 21 points when the final siren sounded.

Tamika May continued her outstanding form being awarded best player for the fourth time this season whilst Harsimrat Dhaliwal, Brooklyn Hodgson, Kelly Whitehead and Micaela Collins were the other players to feature in the better players.

After other results, the Woods find themselves in fourth place a game and percentage ahead of Flinders University in fifth place.
