Daniel Lowe will continue to coach in red and green being named as B Grade Men’s coach for the 2022 season.

Lowe will assume the role once again having coached the side for the last two seasons. During this time, he has coached a total of 29 games for 17 wins (58.6 percent) and taken the side to successive finals appearances making the semi-final in 2020 and the preliminary final in 2021. Across all coaching stints at the Woods, Lowe has a 75.7 percent winning record (53 wins from 70 matches) and is a two-time premiership coach (2015 and 2017 C Grade).

Upon committing to the role, Lowe said he was thankful for the club to give him the opportunity to coach once again.

“I am thankful for the club and executive committee for giving me the opportunity to coach the B Grade once again.”

Other coaching & support staff announcements

In other coaching news, the club is excited to announce Craig Bahnisch will continue in the role of Men’s A Grade Assistant coach for the upcoming season. Joining the Woods ahead of the 2021 season, Bahnisch has become right hand assistant to Senior Coach Scott Prebble. Bahnisch will take charge of the midfield line group for 2022.

Also committing to the club as an Assistant Coach is Alex Scott who will take on the role of Forward Line coach whilst Chris Kershaw and Steve Woods will share the role of Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation for the Men’s program whilst Aneeka Smith will continue as Head Physiotherapist.
