Blackwood Football Club are pleased to confirm Jarrad “Jack” Smedley as the club’s new Junior Football Director.
Smedley is a familiar face at the Woods having played all his junior football in the red and green. Following his playing career, he went onto coaching at the Woods being head coach of the Junior Colts (then U14.5s) and Senior Colts (then U17.5’s) for eight seasons before expanding his coaching skills at other clubs in both the Southern Football League and SANFL competitions.
Most recently, Smedley has been plying himself at the West Adelaide Football Club as the Bench and Development Coach for the Under 16’s side.
Upon taking up to the role, Smedley said he was looking forward to being in red and green again.

“I have a real passion for developing and mentoring both junior players and coaches. I am looking forward to applying this passion at the Blackwood Football Club and helping the club foster it’s enormous talent in both the boys and girls programs.”
