Nick Byrne 200 games One of the Blackwood Football Clubs' favourite sons, Nick Byrne, was inducted into the BFC 200 Club last Saturday night. After kicking a goal in the A grades' win over Hahndorf and being chaired from the ground in front of a jubilant band of BFC supporters, along with Tavis Kleinig who played his 100th game, the celebrations continued in the clubrooms.
Former team mate, Jon Allen was master of ceremonies and had put together a fantastic video presentation to "roast" Byrnsie! Nick was also presented with a framed BFC jumper bearing the famous No 32. Afterwards, players and supporters ventured down into the change-rooms to watch him unveil his name on the 200 Club Honour Board. Nick's father Rod, a former BFC Vice-President, was also present and spoke to the gathering. Well done and congratulations Nick Byrne on your fantastic achievement!
