After a 51 point away win at Lobethal last weekend, the Woods return to action against Mt Barker in Round 7 of the Mortgage Choice Hills Football League at U-Install-It Kitchens Oval.
The Woods will be boosted by the return of star midfielder and 2017 Moyle Medalist runner up Nick Homburg. After a false start last weekend when he was a late withdrawal from the side, Homburg will wear the red and the green for the first time in season 2018. Homburg comes into the squad in the place of Matt Tuck who was unavailable for selection this week.
Four different faces will front up in the B Grade with Zac Grantham, Liam McCarthy, Michael Minuzzo and Bryce Semba all selected to play. The match will be the first B Grade game for Michael Minuzzo having played 71 senior matches previous, all in the A Grade. It will also see the senior debut of Bryce Semba who was apart of the successful 2017 Senior Colt side.
The B Grade match will be highlighted with loyal club man Nick Work recording his 250th senior match for the Blackwood Football Club, only the 21st player in the history of the club to achieve this milestone.
